Main Objective
We are launching a new service model designed to support separated families in building and sustaining meaningful relationships. We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to take ownership of this service, shaping its development and leading its growth from the ground up.
Principal Responsibilities
Take full ownership of the delivery and growth of this new service, ensuring it is responsive to local needs and aligned with Swan Family's values.
Pro-actively develop knowledge of the family support landscape, including legal and statutory frameworks, and associated risks, challenges, and priorities.
Work in partnership with CAFCASS and other key stakeholders.
Support families in overcoming barriers to positive contact and communication.
Help parents understand the impact of conflict on their children.
Support children to re-establish relationships with the parent they do not live with.
Manage your own caseload and work directly with families throughout their journey.
Ensure all reports and documentation are completed accurately and submitted on time.
Attend and contribute to workshops, service development meetings, and CPD opportunities.
Lead local business development activity, building relationships with courts, solicitors, and local authorities to promote the service and secure contracts for private family time, including Out of Borough referrals.
Identify and act on new opportunities for service growth and sustainability.
Skills
Strong leadership skills and the ability to take initiative in developing and growing a new service.
Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Confident in engaging with professionals at all levels and representing the service externally.
Essential Requirements
NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification related to children or young people.
Experience of working directly with families in a support or intervention role.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and maintain professional networks.
