Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our very busy, friendly team.

You will have experience in Family Law and should be committed to and interested in a sustained career in that area of law.

We are long running high street practice in central Middlesbrough, established in 1987. Our firm has a great reputation of providing high quality representation to private and publicly funded clients and prides itself on offering a caring and sympathetic approach. We are passionate about developing our already busy practice and the position requires a candidate who is dedicated to progressing both the department and their career.

You will be dealing with Public Law matters - PLO/Care Proceedings together with Private Law children matters and Injunctions (not civil). There is administrative support available. You will be responsible for aspects of client care and matter progression, together with attending meetings and/or Court.

You will be a talented and self-motivated person who is familiar with many aspects of family law, both private and publicly funded. A good knowledge of the Legal Aid Agency's CCMS system would be required.

You should be confident, professional and flexible, with a detail-orientated approach. You will be keen to get involved in business development and networking opportunities, and will have good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
