Family Medicine Physician joining our Ontario-based primary care team
, you will play a pivotal role in delivering
comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare
to individuals and families across all stages of life. You will contribute to a growing, multicultural community practice that blends
in-person and virtual care
, helping patients achieve optimal health through prevention, diagnosis, and continuity of care.
This position is ideal for physicians
moving to Ontario
or seeking to establish a long-term practice within a supportive, multi-disciplinary network.
What You'll Do
Provide
high-quality primary care
to patients of all ages, including complete physical exams, assessments, and chronic disease management.
Develop and implement
personalized care plans
tailored to each patient's needs, integrating both in-person and telemedicine follow-up.
Utilize
Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
systems (PS Suite / Accuro / Telus) to document and coordinate patient care.
Collaborate with specialists and allied professionals (NPs, nurses, pharmacists, and community partners) to ensure integrated care delivery.
Conduct
preventive health screenings
, immunizations, and lifestyle counseling aligned with Ontario Health and CPSO guidelines.
Perform
minor procedures
such as suturing, wound care, cryotherapy, and injections as clinically indicated.
Participate in
quality improvement, research, and health promotion initiatives
to advance primary care within the community.
Foster long-term relationships with patients through compassionate, culturally sensitive communication.
Basic Qualifications
Medical Degree (MD or MBBS)
from an accredited institution.
Licensure or eligibility for licensure
with the
College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
.
Registration (or eligibility) to bill under the
Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP)
.
Strong understanding of family medicine principles across multiple populations -- pediatrics, adults, seniors, and women's health.
Proficiency with EMR systems and virtual care platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in
outpatient or community-based family practice
settings.
Familiarity with
acute and chronic care procedures
(airway management, IV therapy, minor office procedures).
Experience providing
virtual consultations
and telehealth follow-up under OHIP K-code billing.
Background in
mental health, addictions, or chronic disease programs
(e.g., diabetes, hypertension, COPD).
Interest in leadership, patient education, or collaborative practice within Ontario Health Team initiatives.
