Job Overview

The family are seeking a Qualified Teacher (QTS preferred) with SEN experience to work one-to-one with a 12-year-old child at home.

The child has autism and speech delay and is currently homeschooled.

Details:

Hours: ~10 hours per week (flexible scheduling) Location: at the family's home (safe and welcoming environment) Start date: Flexible / ASAP Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging one-to-one lessons in Maths, English and Science, tailored to the child's level and needs Incorporate creative and practical activities (e.g. art, games, hands-on projects) to encourage motivation and learning Monitor progress and adjust teaching approaches to suit the child's individual learning style Provide regular feedback to parents and collaborate on strategies to support development
Qualifications & Requirements:

Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Experience working with children with autism and/or special educational needs (essential) Understanding of speech and language delay (desirable) Proven experience in teaching or tutoring (school or home setting) Strong communication skills to engage both child and parents Patience, empathy, and ability to build trust DBS check required Newly qualified teachers and recent graduates are welcome to apply
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 30.00-50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
