Look no further and apply today to join our friendly team at Blue Springs Family Centre! We are looking to recruit experienced Family Support Workers, with a qualification in childcare/education or willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification.
You will be part of a team in a residential setting; working with four families providing detailed evidence-based assessments of the parents' abilities to meet the safety and care/welfare needs of their children in line with the National Assessment Framework.
Blue Springs Family Centre is a Residential Parenting Assessment Centre for parents, their child(ren) and expectant families who the referring Authority feel need additional support and assessment prior to re-integration into the community. We offer a range of services focusing on evidence-based assessments to meet the needs of vulnerable parents. We also believe that our service should exist to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming home that builds confidence and equips parents with all the necessary skills to parent safely and independently wherever possible.
You will exercise vigilance in respect of Health and Safety and promptly report all hazards and/or remedying them where appropriate and participate in team meetings, supervisions, and annual reviews in accordance with Company policy and the standards set by the Regulatory Body
You will maintain a caring, confidential, and culturally sensitive service through always adopting high personal standards at all times.
The Role;
Provide direct support to families as required
Ensuring routines are being followed
Ensuring parents decisions are taken on board and maintained
Provide a high quality, dependable service which meet our values and standards.
Work closely with families, observing and recording the parents' abilities to meet the immediate safety and care needs of their children through observations.
Provide appropriate advice and guidance to families in accordance with their work programmes.
take an active part in the assessment process by creating a supportive learning/re-learning environment for parents and children
Work in partnership with families, colleagues, and professionals.
Attend training courses and other development opportunities as agreed with line manager to ensure compliance with CPD requirements
To perform such other tasks, commensurate with the duties outlined above, from time to time as deemed appropriate
Have a patient, calm and empathetic personality.
Good communication skills, along with the ability to express in written form.
Requirements
Qualification in childcare/education or equivalent .
Experience of providing play and learning opportunities for children.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Acting as a keyworker and undertaking observations.
Experience of working with babies, toddlers or pre-school children.
What we offer:
A yearly salary from 26,850 pa.
Hourly salary from 12.90/hr
