Hayeswater Family Time Centre, Davyhulme, M41 7BR



Salary range -

Band 4 (28,598 to 31,022)

36.25 hours per week



This post will involve working some Saturdays on a rota basis and you must therefore be flexible to the needs of the service (an unsocial allowance of 3% of the basic salary will be paid).

About the Role




Hayeswater Family Time Service' is Trafford's provision for safe and meaningful family time between children and their families. It is safe place for children and young people to spend time with people they care about and to maintain healthy relationships and a good sense of identity.


We are currently looking to recruit x1 Family Time Practitioner at Hayeswater Family Time Centre to work as part of a team supporting Family Sessions between children and their families. The role delivers services flexibly in a variety of settings, undertaking interventions to contribute to the overall assessment held by the Social Care Teams.

About you




With a minimum of one years' experience of working with children and families in a professional setting you will have a sound understanding of children's developmental needs and the parenting task. It is essential that have a NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) and are committed to working restoratively to support children and families. You will be able to communicate the planning, delivery and outcomes of Family Time and direct work within case notes, verbally and within recording systems (knowledge of Liquid Logic would be an advantage).





You will have knowledge of attachment theories and be able to demonstrate insight into the issues facing children in care proceedings, separated from and having supervised Family Sessions with their families. With strong communication and assessment skills you will have the ability to develop effective working relationships with families.



You will have up to date knowledge of the Childrens' Act, regulations, policy and legislation relating to Childrens' Social Care.



Flexibility will be required to work outside core hours when required.

You will need a Full clean Driving License, access to your own vehicle and Business Insurance. You will use your own vehicle to transport children to and from Sessions.



An enhanced DBS check with children/adults barred list check will be required.
