Part-Time Family Time Worker - Bolton Council
We are currently recruiting a Part-Time Family Time Worker to join the Children's Services - Staying Safe team in Bolton. This is a rewarding and varied role focused on delivering high-quality, child-focused interventions that support positive outcomes for Looked After Children (LAC) and their families.
As a Family Time Worker, you will:

Plan, deliver and record safe and purposeful Family Time sessions.

Work directly with children and families, many of whom may have complex needs.

Support the wider social care team by contributing to assessments and care planning.

Promote child development, positive parenting, and safe family relationships using evidence-based approaches.

Escort children and supervise family time in various settings including community venues and family homes.

Manage a small caseload and maintain accurate records.

Work collaboratively with professionals across multiple agencies.

About You:
We're looking for someone with:

A relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Health and Social Care, Youth Work, etc.).

Experience working with children and families, particularly in multi-agency or safeguarding settings.

A compassionate and non-judgmental approach with strong communication and organisational skills.

A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.

This role will require some evening and weekend work to meet the needs of the service. You'll be supported through regular supervision, development opportunities, and a strong team ethos.
