Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and knowledgeable Family Worker to join our dynamic Family Hubs team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families during the most critical stages of development.



As a Family Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering early help and targeted support to families with children aged 0-5, in line with the Start for Life offer and the Best Start for Life vision. You will work closely with families, professionals, and community partners to ensure every child has the best possible start in life.



Key Responsibilities:



Provide one-to-one and group-based support to families, focusing on early childhood development, parenting, and family wellbeing.


Deliver services aligned with the Start for Life programme and the Family Hub model.


Promote and embed the principles of the 1001 Critical Days framework in all aspects of your work.


Work collaboratively with health, education, and social care professionals to ensure a joined-up approach to family support.


Support families to access a range of services and interventions, empowering them to build resilience and achieve positive outcomes.



About You:



Experience working with children and families in a community or early years setting.


Strong understanding of the Start for Life programme, Family Hub model, and the importance of the 1001 Critical Days.


Knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and early intervention strategies.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse families.


A commitment to inclusive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed practice.
