Join our Rail Plant team as a

FAMS Administrator

at our

Effingham Depot

, where your contributions will help unlock new opportunities--for our business, for the nation's infrastructure, and for your own career development.



In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting the management team by overseeing and maintaining

FAMS

(Network Rail's Fleet Asset Management System). Your work will ensure the smooth operation of our fleet data and systems, helping us deliver excellence every day.

What you'll be doing



Key Responsibilities




Manage Fleet Systems:

Oversee the Fleet Asset Management System (FAMS) for the Seasonal Treatment MPV fleet.

Maintain Accurate Records:

Ensure all maintenance, asset, and inventory activities are correctly logged, tracked, and reported.

Support Maintenance Operations:

Assist with planned maintenance schedules, work order tracking, and inventory control.

Coordinate Procurement:

Manage purchasing processes and maintain up-to-date asset information.

Drive Process Improvements:

Contribute to system updates and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure Compliance:

Adhere to data management, reporting, and audit requirements in line with contractual obligations.

Promote Safety Standards:

Support compliance with Network Rail and Health & Safety Executive (HSE) regulations.


Who we're looking for

Skills & Experience:




Strong IT skills, with experience in asset/maintenance management systems (FAMS, Maximo, SAP, or similar) High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping Ability to interpret technical maintenance documentation Good communication skills Experience in maintenance, engineering, or asset management (railway or similar regulated industry preferred) Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
