Farm Managers Job Vacancy for a full time Working Farm Manager on a 1400ha diverse and dynamic agricultural business in South Essex. The farm mainly produces combinable crops but also grows potatoes and sweetcorn. The role would include: - Supervision and direction of farm staff - Oversee and manage all aspects of farm operations. - Supervision of contractors - Field walking/agronomy - Stock taking - Occasional machinery operation during busy periods - Irrigation supervision/planning - Management of storage and industrial units - Keeping accurate records of farming operations - Manual work - Help with haulage business (2 lorries) - Property maintenance Ideally you should: - Understand the commitments of large arable farming business. - Prior farm management experience (assistant managers considered). - Have strong HR skills and the ability to manage a team. - Have a good working knowledge of varied machinery operation and maintenance. - Willing to learn and develop your skills. - Be self-motivated with a desire to lead from the front. - Understand basic maths. - Have Pa 1 and 2. Education: A levels/equivalent (preferred). This position requires a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The Farm Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of farm operations, including planting, harvesting, equipment maintenance, and irrigation. The successful candidate will have a passion for farming, a strong knowledge of agricultural practices, and the ability to effectively manage a team. Salary by negotiation.
