Farm Manager

Lincolnshire, United Kingdom

Job Description

This Farm Manager position will see you managing the day-to-day operation of a 3,200 commercial arable business, growing combinable crops, vining peas, and sugar beet.

You will manage a team of 3 full-time operators and harvest staff at peak.

The role will focus on the operational and agronomic performance of this farm, including machinery management, record keeping, and health and safety management.

What skills do I need?
You\'ll have already worked on an arable farm before and be looking to take the next step up.

You\'ll understand how a working farm runs and want to be able to use your expertise to ensure this farm is working as efficiently as possible.

Communication, as with any management role, is essential as you will be ensuring your team stay motivated and you can get the most out of them.

Commercial awareness is important, as you will be working towards agreed annual business targets.

BASIS and FACTs would be beneficial, too.

This role would see you managing the day-to-day operations of the farm, but there\'s always someone around to offer you any support you need - so if you\'re unsure whether you\'re ready to take the step up, give us a call.

An attractive salary is on offer for the position, along with housing accommodation/support, a vehicle and ongoing personal development.
