We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Farm Office Apprentice. This role offers hands-on experience in agricultural administration, compliance, and logistics, with opportunities to develop skills in both office and field-based tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Office & General Administration
Answering phones and handling general enquiries.
Filing, photocopying, and maintaining organised records (paper and digital).
Data entry and updating spreadsheets/databases.
Ordering stationery and office supplies.
2. Accounts Support
Processing purchase orders and invoices.
Assisting with payroll preparation (e.g. gathering timesheets).
Reconciling delivery notes, goods receipts and invoices.
Data entry - purchase and sales ledge.
Supporting the finance team with basic bookkeeping tasks.
3. HR & Recruitment Admin
Assisting with onboarding seasonal and full-time staff (preparing documents, ID checks, inductions).
Maintaining accurate staff records.
Supporting training records and compliance documentation.
Helping to coordinate rotas and staff scheduling.
4. Farm-Specific Admin
Order and stock control of packaging
Liaising with customers, taking orders and completing delivery notes/ invoices.
Logging crop planting, harvesting, and yield data.
Tracking field records and input usage (e.g. Fertiliser)
Helping manage compliance for farm audits (e.g. Red Tractor).
Supporting traceability systems and paperwork for food safety.
5. Project & Team Support
Assisting managers with specific projects (e.g. technology rollouts, grant applications, sustainability initiatives).
Helping with health & safety paperwork and risk assessments.
Preparing reports and presentations as needed.
Attending team meetings and taking minutes.
Collect and delver documents, supplies or samples between farm sites and external locations
6. Communication & Coordination
Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and customers.
Coordinating logistics support for deliveries or collections.
Supporting internal communication between the farm team, admin staff, and management.
Haulage booking and coordination with team
Handling complaints
7. Other
Attend off-site training session, meetings, or agricultural events
Transport staff or visitors to and from farm locations as needed
Assist with errands such as picking up parts and supplies
REQUIREMENTS
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Basic IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets).
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to seasonal farm demands.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK Driving Licence - essential for off-site duties.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
You will receive structured training in farm administration, compliance and agricultural operations.
Support will be provided to complete your apprenticeship qualification
