Forage Farm Shop and Kitchen is proud to be the Welsh Farm Shop of the Year since 2022, located on the beautiful Penllyn Estate. Our award-winning shop and artisan butchery offer a curated range of products either made on the Estate or sourced from across Wales. We're passionate about championing high-quality, local produce -- and our 100-cover restaurant brings visitors from far and wide.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Shop Assistant (aged 18 or over) to join our shop team. You'll play a key role in providing excellent customer service while also supporting essential behind-the-scenes operations such as stock management and administration.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering outstanding service at the tills and on the shop floor Accurately handling payments and till operations Maintaining clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing displays Supporting stock rotation, deliveries, and product restocking Assisting with stock taking and stock ordering Supporting general administrative tasks related to the shop Staying informed about in-store promotions, seasonal offers, and events Following all food hygiene, health & safety standards
There are two positions available:

20 - 24 hours 16 hours
Please note: these are core hours, during busy periods there may be overtime available.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment Is 18+ (essential for serving alcohol and age-restricted products) Is passionate about food, farming, and local produce Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail Is confident with merchandising and visual display Works well as part of a team and takes initiative Maintains high standards of hygiene and food safety Weekend availably is essential
