Experienced Farm Vet Wanted -- South Devon Needs You!

Position:

Farm Vet, 4 day week, 1:5 rota, varied caseload, good kit, great team.

We are South Moor Vets, an

independent,

mixed practice nestled between Dartmoor's rugged charm and the stunning South Devon coastline. We're on the lookout for a

seasoned farm vet

(ideally with 5+ years under their belt) to join our farmer focused team of 7 FTE Vets, 4.5 ATTs and 2 AI Technicians. The post is a four-day week (32hours), which we count as full time with a rolling or fixed day in lieu.

We have a varied client base to suit all farm vet palates: dairy herds, beef and sheep systems (upland and lowland), calf rearers, smallholders, farm parks, a zoo and more than a few sanctuaries. We can truly say no two days are ever the same.

We have a civilised 1:5 OOH rota and there is always a fellow farm vet on the end of the phone if you do need another pair of hands. The equine vets have even been known to lend a hand if you're in dire straits!

Across our four branches we have access to all the usual farm kit, as well as:

? Portable hydraulic foot trimming crush

? VaDia milking time test kit

? In-house lab, Total Vet, scanners, and access to our small animal and equine kit, including digital imaging equipment.

? The brains of multiple experienced certificate holders (even at 2am!)
