We are seeking an impeccable

Restaurant Manager

to ensure the smooth running and continuous high standards of customer service within our 180+ Kings Restaurant. Kings restaurant is the main hotel restaurant serving buffet breakfast and dinner.

Old Thorns is a luxury four-star resort in Hampshire. The hotel is easily accessible from the A3, and only 30 minutes from Guildford and Portsmouth. Old Thorns offers luxury accommodation, conference & function facilities, health club, beauty spa, restaurants & bars and a championship golf course.

Main Responsibilities:

The day to day running of the restaurant, delivering restaurant sales and service standard To ensure all guests receive the highest standards of customer service To recruit, manage, train and develop the Restaurant team To produce weekly schedule/rota and shift duties while maintaining labour costs and assuring adequate and consistent staffing levels Responsible for effective stock rotation, stock takes and ordering.

Knowledge/Skills & Experience Required:

A proven record of service excellence The ability to motivate, inspire and train a team A hands on approach and desire to lead by example Immaculate presentation skills A passion for delivering excellent customer service Able to work in an efficient and organised manner Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Excellent standards of spoken English) Strong industry and food knowledge and be able to advise guests on food and beverage choices and accompaniments
