The F&B Operations Team Member is involved in assisting his/her departmental supervisors by performing tasks such as taking, preparing and delivering orders, organise the room service area to keep it clean and tidy, and maximise sales opportunities through the knowledge of product and suggesting selling.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
Provide an efficient, polite and courteous service to guests over breakfast service, room service, or events
Take orders over the phone and in person in a friendly and welcoming manner
Ensure orders are given to the Kitchen in a timely manner
Prepare teas, coffees and other hot beverages for guests
Assist with setting tables, polishing china and cutlery
Assist the Room Service Manager/Supervisors in the overall responsibility and smooth operation of all Food and Beverage areas such as Room Service, Mini Bar, Breakfast Room, Meeting and Event Rooms
Ensure that all areas are kept correctly with regards to storage and cleanliness at all times
In conjunction with the Kitchen, ensure that consistent quality in production and service of food in the room service is maintained
Ensure that all work equipment is in good working order and liaise with other departments for maintenance and repair if necessary
Handle deliveries, inspect items, and report any discrepancies
Refilling fridges in preparation area and mini-bars in guest rooms
Assist in stock count and inform the Manager if stock is low
Handle guest requests, allergies and dietary needs with professionalism and care
Accurately handle guest billing, ensure timely delivery of orders
Maintain professional body language and grooming standards at all times, adhering to the hotel's policies and guidelines
Essential Attributes:
Possess an understanding of the Liquor License and all Health & Safety procedures
Positive in approach with self-driven attitude
Excellent social and communication skills
Ability to work within a team as well as alone
Excellent spoken and written English

Previous experience as in luxury hotel setting
