Job Title: FCP Team Lead



Location: Across PCNs within Kent and London



Reports to: Principal Physiotherapist



About the Role:





We're looking for a dynamic and compassionate FCP Team Lead to join our growing primary care team at Xcel Health Group. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinician who is ready to take the next step into leadership, supporting our team of First Contact Practitioners across multiple PCNs and helping shape the future of our service delivery. The role requires someone who thrives on teamwork, demonstrates strong clinical and people leadership, and is passionate about creating an environment where every clinician can perform at their best.


Key Responsibilities



Lead and inspire a team of FCPs working across different GP surgeries and PCNs, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care. Provide supervision and mentorship, supporting clinical development, well-being, and performance. Monitor and drive KPIs, including clinic utilisation, patient outcomes, and referral pathways. Conduct regular team and one-to-one meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and professional development. Foster a culture of compassion, accountability, and growth within the team. Collaborate with management and PCN leads to ensure efficient service delivery and adherence to contractual obligations. Identify and nurture talent, helping FCPs map their career development journey within Xcel Health. Drive continuous improvement, implementing new ideas to enhance clinical quality and operational efficiency. Support induction and training for new team members, ensuring smooth onboarding and integration.

About You




HCPC and CSP registered Physiotherapist. Proven experience as an FCP/FCP Lead or Senior MSK Clinician. Minimum 3 years of experience as an FCP or managing teams. Ability to liaise with PCN management and clinical teams Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills. A compassionate approach with the ability to motivate and bring out the best in others. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Driven by quality, improvement, and a desire to make a meaningful impact. Flexibility to work across multiple sites and support the needs of different PCNs
