:
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Department, providing support and running a litigated caseload of personal injury files (RTA, OIC, EL/PL, etc.) ranging from taking new instructions right through to trial/settlement. In addition they will possess the following experience/abilities:
The ideal candidate should:
Experience in running a litigated case load of Fast & Multi Track personal injury claims;
Must have at least 2 years litigation experience in dealing with personal injury claims
Knowledge of the claims process and CPR Rules;
Experience in drafting Part 7 & 8 proceedings and Applications;
Experience in being able to deal with personal injury claims from inception to trial;
Able to use the MOJ & OIC Portal and manage relevant time limits;
Able to quantify claims and reach and amicable settlement of claims;
Knowledge of credit hire process/case law;
Able to use a case management system, ideally Proclaim;
Able to work to a high standard of accuracy and in a fast paced environment;
Able to manage time and work efficiently to meet deadlines/targets;
Able to handle a varied workload in accordance with client protocols and with an appropriate level of supervision;
Able to act as a point of contact for clients and junior members of staff;
Able to demonstrate a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience;
Able to work as part of a team
In addition, the successful candidate will be fully supported in this role with a supportive and helpful supervision structure.
There are opportunities to progress within the firm and move into other areas. There is also opportunities for a training contract and/or a SQE contribution for the right candidate, subject to performance and experience.
