Overview

Oakland Farms Ltd is a progressive, family-run farming business operating broiler chicken farms and an on-site compound feed mill in Yorkshire.

We are looking for an and motivated

Feed Mill Production Manager

to oversee daily feed mill operations, ensuring high-quality output and efficient production to support our poultry farming business.

The Role

As Feed Mill Production Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe and efficient running of the mill and ensuring production targets are met. You will manage raw material intake, feed formulation, milling operations, and dispatch, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality control.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing day-to-day feed mill operations and production scheduling Ensuring all feed is produced to required specifications and quality standards Overseeing raw material intake, storage, and inventory management Working alongside our in-house team to ensure all equipment is maintained, safe, and operating efficiently Implementing and monitoring health, safety, and hygiene standards Reporting on production performance and contributing to continuous improvement
About You

We are seeking someone with strong leadership and technical skills who can confidently manage operations and people in a production environment.

Essential skills and experience:

Previous experience in feed milling, food production, or a related manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential Strong knowledge of production processes, feed safety, and quality control systems Excellent organisation, and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively IT literacy and familiarity with production monitoring systems Understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements Full UK driving licence Forklift truck licence
