Production Supervisor, Electronics Product Assembly
UDlive is globally at the forefront of sensing and IoT technology for Water Industry and Water Environmental space. UDlive is building a fantastic new facility in the Mill Lane area of Alton, well equipped for the next phase of company growth. We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated
Production Supervisor
to lead our assembly team. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and efficient assembly of both mechanical and electronic products, while driving the highest standards of quality, productivity, and team performance. This role requires a strong leader who can inspire and guide, troubleshoot effectively, and champion continuous improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

Lead a
team of production operatives, including task allocation, performance management, and training.

Ensure accurate and efficient assembly
of mechanical and electronic products according to work instructions and quality standards.
?
Monitor and optimise
the safe and efficient operation of all production equipment.
?
Implement and enforce
rigorous quality control procedures and perform regular inspections.
?
Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues
related to components, equipment, processes, or personnel.
?
Support continuous improvement initiatives
to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
?
Ensure strict adherence
to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
?
Maintain
a highly organised and clean production environment.
?
Liaise effectively
with other departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth production flow.
?
Report
on production progress and challenges to management.
?
Promote a culture
of open communication and collaboration within the team.
Requirements
?
Proven Leadership Experience:
Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a manufacturing or assembly environment, ideally with exposure to both mechanical and electronic product assembly.
Familiarity with various production equipment, hand tools, and powered hand tools.

Quality Management:
Solid understanding and practical application of quality control principles and defect resolution. Experience with relevant quality standards is highly desirable.

Problem-Solving Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

Organisational Skills:
Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate, coach, and communicate with team members at all levels.

Continuous Improvement Mindset:
A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements. Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.

Adaptability:
Ability to adapt to new technologies, processes, and product variations in a fast-paced environment.

IT Proficiency:
Competency in using basic computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) for reporting and data analysis.
