Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, ensuring dignity and respect at all times Monitor and support clients' health and wellbeing, recognizing signs of discomfort or distress and reporting accordingly Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional wellbeing Maintain accurate records of care provided, including medication administration and daily observations Follow care plans meticulously while adapting to individual needs and preferences Support clients during outings or appointments, ensuring safety and comfort throughout Uphold safety protocols, including proper handling of emergency situations and adherence to health guidelines

Skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly Bilingual abilities are highly valued to effectively assist diverse clients Demonstrated supervising experience in caregiving or related roles is preferred Knowledge of basic medical procedures, medication management, and health & safety standards Excellent phone etiquette for coordinating appointments or communicating with family members Ability to perform retail-like tasks such as product demos or upselling when appropriate to enhance client experience Proficiency in merchandising, stocking supplies, and managing inventory within a healthcare or retail environment Basic math skills for medication dosage calculations, billing, or record keeping Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly, approachable demeanor Experience working in grocery stores or retail sales environments is a plus for understanding stock management and customer interactions
