Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide high-quality care to our clients in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments or outings Implement care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences Support clients with Alzheimer's and dementia care, employing behaviour management techniques when necessary Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment Document client progress and report any changes in condition to healthcare professionals

Skills

Proven experience in senior care, including nursing home or care home settings Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices Familiarity with medication administration protocols Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client assistance Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and families Driving skills for transporting clients when necessary Experience in hospice care is an advantage Understanding of case management principles and care plan development Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary needs
