Job Summary


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Complex carers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home care, assisted living, nursing homes, and hospice environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalised care, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity. This role involves a combination of practical assistance, emotional support, and health-related tasks tailored to each individual's needs.

Responsibilities



Must have seizure management experience Has a pet cat Must be able to drive Looking after a 3 year old Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Administer medication in accordance with prescribed care plans and medical terminology Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as required Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary to prevent falls or injuries Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and routines Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and updates to care plans Provide companionship and emotional support to alleviate feelings of loneliness or anxiety Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting, grooming, and dressing Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to client care environments Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required, ensuring safe transportation

Requirements



Proven experience in senior care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care or similar environments such as nursing homes or care homes is highly desirable Certification in First Aid is essential; additional qualifications in medication administration or nursing are advantageous Knowledge of medical terminology and case management principles is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically assist clients as needed Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed care plans and behaviour management strategies Valid driving licence for safe transportation duties Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as required

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months

Pay: 15.20-15.22 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
