About the Role:
KASE Care is currently seeking a compassionate, proactive, and reliable Female
Complex Healthcare Assistant
to join the care team supporting a
female service user
living in
Hitchin
.
The client is a
mother of three
with a
spinal cord injury
, who uses a
wheelchair
and follows a
highly active physiotherapy regime
as part of her daily routine. Care is focused on
post-physio assistance
, including
personal care, catheter care, mobility support
, and
nutrition
.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support a vibrant and motivated individual in her home, working alongside her existing care team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide
personal care
including washing, dressing, and toileting.
Support with
catheter management
and monitor for signs of infection or complications.
Assist with
nutrition and hydration
, including meal preparation and encouragement as needed.
Administer prescribed medications
in line with care plan and company policy.
Support
moving and handling
tasks, particularly
after physiotherapy sessions
.
Work closely with the
day carer
to ensure smooth delivery of care and mobility assistance.
Maintain accurate and professional care documentation.
Promote the client's independence, dignity, and family involvement.
About You:
Previous experience in
complex care
,
spinal injury support
, or
mobility assistance
preferred.
Moving and handling experience is essential.
A kind, respectful, and positive attitude is a must.
Comfortable working in a family home environment with children present.
Excellent communication and team-working skills.
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK.
Additional Information:
Initial calls are
2 hours per day, 7 days a week
to assist following physiotherapy.
There is the potential for this role to grow into
longer hours, including days and nights
, based on how well the candidate integrates with the client and the team.
Mandatory Induction Training:
All successful candidates are required to attend a
5-day mandatory induction
held at our
head office in Loughton, IG10 4BL
.
Induction is held
during the first full week of each month
.
It must be
attended in full within the same week
- it
cannot
be split across different months.
The induction includes training in moving and handling, first aid, company procedures, and CQC compliance.
