About the Role



Macanta provides bespoke care to adults and children with complex care needs in their own homes as well as in education settings, the workplace and on social outings.

We are currently looking for caring, enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible Health Care Support worker to join a care package in NR10. Successful candidate would be expected to work with our 22 years old patient on a one-to-one basis providing clinical and personal care as well as supporting him with social activities in his family home.

Although he is a 22-year-old intelligent lad, he is still a little boy in many ways, with a cheeky sense of humour, he loves music, crafts and playing with his sensory toys. He is reliant on his carers for all his needs.

You will be expected to work flexibly across the rota including weekends.

This fulfilling role involves providing tailored care to meet the young person's specific needs :

Assisting with mobility and physical needs Supporting enteral feeding via a gastrostomy tube. Managing and monitoring epilepsy, including administering emergency medication Ensuring safety, while offering emotional support to both the young person and their family. Jejunostomy/gastrostomy tube care Medication administration via Mini button gastrostomy Use verbal cues and descriptive language Maintain hazard-free environment Interpret non-visual communication methods

Candidates must have experience in complex care and be able to drive.



Shifts:



Ongoing day shift - 18hrs per week , with additional ad hoc shifts as required
