Job Overview

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals within their homes or out in the community. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills, a compassionate nature, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in their daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management. Develop and maintain care plans tailored to the individual needs of each client. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately and promptly. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities when required. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Previous experience in a home care setting is desirable but not essential. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed. Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans is advantageous. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and colleagues. Basic IT skills are beneficial for documentation and reporting purposes. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to build rapport with clients and their families while demonstrating empathy and understanding.
