Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Female Home Assistant (Live-in Carer as well) to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients. This position requires a proactive approach to care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and physical activities as required. Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs, ensuring adherence to care plans. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life. Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home, including light housekeeping duties. Document daily activities and report any changes in client condition or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.

Skills

Proficient in English with strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and families. Experience in home care or care home settings is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with developing and following care plans tailored to individual client needs. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients safely. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are crucial attributes for this role. Qualifications

:

Care Certificate

Mandatory training certificates: Safe Administration of Medication, Safeguarding, Moving & Assisting, Basic First Aid, Mental Capacity & DOLS, Infection Control etc.

Desirable:

Working towards gaining qualifications in health & social care.

Experience in Live-in care

DBS with update service

Lives in Hertfordshire if requires COS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.78-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
