Female Night Support Worker

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and genuinely caring Female Night Support Worker to join our team on a temporary basis. This is an important role supporting female residents overnight, keeping them safe, comfortable, and well looked after while the home is quieter.


If you're confident on nights, have strong manual handling skills, and know how to support vulnerable women with dignity and patience, we'd love to hear from you.


What You'll Be Doing

Providing person-centred care and emotional support throughout the night Assisting with personal care (toileting, changing, hygiene) Supporting residents with mobility: repositioning, transfers, comfort checks Carrying out regular observations and room checks Responding calmly and quickly to call bells or urgent needs Administering medication (if trained) and keeping accurate records Keeping the environment clean, tidy, and safe Communicating clearly with the day team during handover Writing clear notes in daily logs and care plans



What We're Looking For
6-12 months' experience in a care or support worker role Confident and safe with Manual Handling First Aid & CPR trained (or willing to refresh) Comfortable working independently during quieter hours Strong communication, empathy and patience Good stamina nights can be demanding even when they're calm A calm, reassuring presence for residents who may struggle to settle



A Bit More About the Role

Nights in care are different. You'll be the go-to person for residents who wake in the night, need reassurance, or need help with personal care. You're there to make sure they feel safe, supported, and respected.


You'll also play a key part in:


Monitoring changes in behaviour, mood, mobility, or health Escalating safety concerns promptly Creating a peaceful, settled atmosphere so residents can rest
