Actual Salary: Up to 20,962.80



Contract Type: Part time, Permanent



Working Hours: 22.2 hours per week

to lead our thriving programme into the next phase of its development. As the proud ACE provider for

Bristol Bears Women

, and a recent training base for the

Red Roses

during their 2025 World Cup campaign, SGS College is at the forefront of elite female rugby development in the Bristol area. With over

50 female athletes

currently enrolled in our SGS Sport female rugby programme, we are looking for a dynamic and visionary coach with a

backs specialism

to build on recent successes and elevate our performance and development pathway.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Female Rugby Academy programme. Deliver high-quality coaching across elite and development squads. Oversee individual player development through SGS Sport's IDP framework. Collaborate with academic staff to support athlete education and wellbeing. Develop strategic partnerships with clubs, NGBs, and community organisations. Drive recruitment, marketing, and media engagement for the programme. Manage assistant coaches and oversee safeguarding and compliance. Contribute to commercial and higher education development initiatives.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

RFU Level 2 Coaching Award (minimum); Level 3 or 4 desirable. Proven experience coaching at youth and elite levels. Strong knowledge of the female rugby landscape in Bristol and the surrounding area and athlete development. Line management and budget oversight experience. Passion for holistic athlete development and collegiate sport. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional development.

Desirable Attributes

Experience working within AoC Sport and RFU competitions. Knowledge of the FE sector and working with athletes aged 16-19. Ability to drive strategic growth and community engagement. First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications. Full, clean driving licence (D1 desirable).
