TBC Lorna lives in Ayr and enjoys shopping, going out and about in her local community, the cinema and theatre and eating out. Lorna enjoys knitting and other crafts and would like support to learn more crafting skills. Lorna also enjoys playing board games and cards. Lorna also has a cat which she loves.


Lorna is looking for a support worker who:


Is open minded Has a good sense of humour Likes cats Is respectful and non-judgmental Is able to see the "real" Lorna Is able to stick to boundaries Is a quick thinker Has a positive outlook Is a good clear communicator Is alert Is approachable

Essential for the role is that you can demonstrate the following:




Work in a person centred way Understand the importance of family involvement and multi-agency working An understanding all behaviour is communication Work as part of a small team

Desirable




An understanding or experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities SVQ Level 2/3 in Social Care (or equivalent) or willing to work towards this

This is a really exciting and interesting opportunity for the right person.

The post involves days and evenings.

This role involves shift work including evenings and public holidays.
