Our fabulous #TeamAshgill in Milton are on the lookout for a reliable *female colleague with passion and empathy who will go above and beyond for the people we support to join them on a permanent, part time basis.
The Role
Our team support 2 ladies and a gent with learning disabilities and complex needs who share a home and live a very active life, so there is never a dull moment to be had. You will play an important part in our team, ensuring that we still provide the best care and support possible during times of staff training, holidays and absence.
As a Support Practitioner, you will support with all aspects of their daily living, e.g. shopping, finances, cooking, housework and personal care. The individuals we support enjoy various hobbies and interests including arts & crafts, attending clubs, going to the cinema or bowling, shopping, meals out and swimming to name a few.
Ideally we are looking for someone with experience in working in a care setting and an understanding of learning disability and autism but this isn't essential!
All we need you to bring is;
A caring and compassionate attitude
Active listening skills
Great communication skills
A positive approach to learning
Confidence in the use of computers
You don't need experience in Care as a Support worker to join our team as we recruit on values and transferrable skills and will give you full training to learn the practical side of this role.
We'll pay you for your training and even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification.
Shift Patterns
We provide dedicated around the clock support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so our shift patterns do involve early mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays and sleepovers. This role will include lone working as well as working as part of a team.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
