We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being. Responsibilities
Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Supporting patients with mobility and transfer needs, including heavy lifting when necessary
Administering medication in accordance with prescribed instructions and maintaining accurate records
Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Providing companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Managing behaviour effectively, especially in clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
Assisting with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organisation to ensure a safe living environment
Driving clients to appointments or outings as required (driving licence preferred)
Responding promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid procedures
Documenting care provided accurately and reporting any concerns to supervising staff
Experience
Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care roles is advantageous
Familiarity with patient care techniques including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care
Experience in medication administration and behaviour management strategies
Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols
Childcare experience or caring for vulnerable adults is beneficial but not essential
Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting safely and effectively
A caring attitude combined with excellent communication skills is essential for building trust with clients and their families
