Female Support Worker (Night)
Salary: 12.40 per hour
Location: Throckley - Newcastle Upon Tyne
Contract/hours: 37.5 hours

Who will you be supporting?
We are looking for a female waking night for Westway to support a lady in her 30s with who has had a traumatic upbringing which still impacts her mood and has shaped some of the ways she manages her feelings. She has ADHD, Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, Mild Learning Disability, Schizoaffective Disorder, and sleep apnoea which means she needs to wear a mask on a night whilst in bed. She requires regular observation throughout the night. We use Nourish and there is a quick tag that you will scan to log your checks.
The lady has her own vehicle and likes to get out and about with her staff. She doesn't like busy environments so she needs her staff to come up with ideas of places she can go. She requires some support with her personal care, meal preparation, appropriate communication. She has a great sense of humour and likes to have fun. She also lacks capacity in some areas including food and meal planning and managing her money so requires support with this.
This position is all about building relationships with the people you will be supporting while helping them with their day-to-day routine in line with their personal support plans such as dressing, personal care, finances, medication, attending any appointments along with employment, Volunteering and hobbies.
