Job Overview

We are seeking a

proactive and caring Female Support Worker

to join an established care team supporting a

28-year-old woman with cerebral palsy and epilepsy

in her family home in Ipswich (IP3).

This role is for

20 hours per week

, worked flexibly across a

7-day rota

, including a commitment to

2 out of 4 weekends per month

. There are

regular opportunities for overtime

.

Due to client needs and sensitivities,

female, non-smoking applicants only

.

Shift Patterns

Shifts are agreed monthly via rota and may include:

Day Shift:

07:00 - 18:00

Day Shift:

09:00 - 18:00

Night Shift:

18:00 - 07:00 Paid at day rate until 22:00 Sleep-in rate from 22:00 - 07:00

Pay Rates

16.47 per hour

- Monday to Friday, 07:00-19:00

17.57 per hour

- Saturday & Sunday, 07:00-19:00

16.97 per hour

- Monday to Friday, 19:00-22:00

18.07 per hour

- Saturday & Sunday, 19:00-22:00

12.21 per hour

- Sleep-in shifts, 22:00-07:00

About the Role

The client is a wheelchair user who requires support with most daily activities but is able to communicate clearly and direct her care. She enjoys

crafts and boccia

and lives in her own fully adapted accommodation within the family home, with dedicated facilities for support staff.

Support duties include:

Personal care (showering and toileting) Supporting daily routines and activities Community access (some shifts are

bespoke training

will be provided.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in

care or education

Full UK driving licence

Ability to work flexibly across a

7-day rota

Willingness to work

2 out of 4 weekends per month

Confident communicator and team player

Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)

Non-smoker

due to client sensitivity

Desirable

Experience supporting individuals with

epilepsy

Experience with complex health needs or physical disabilities
