Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fence Erector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various construction techniques and the ability to work with different materials. As a Fence Erector, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining fences for residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. We are also undertaking a lot of agri fencing at the minute.

Duties

Install various types of fencing including wood, vinyl, chain link, and metal. Measure and mark fence lines to ensure accurate placement. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and assemble fencing materials. Weld metal components when necessary for specific fence designs. Perform masonry work as needed for fence foundations or supports. Ensure all installations are plumb, level, and structurally sound. Conduct repairs on existing fences, including painting and maintenance tasks. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service. Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in fencing installation or related construction fields. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to weld is highly desirable. Basic electrical knowledge is an advantage for specific fencing systems. Skills in carpentry, masonry, or fabrication are beneficial. Strong attention to detail with the ability to plumb installations accurately. Physical stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation to job sites.
