Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fence Erector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of various types of fencing, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in all weathers.

Duties

Measure and mark fence lines accurately to ensure proper alignment. Erect and install various types of fencing, including wooden, vinyl, metal and chain-link. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. Fabricate fence components as needed to meet specific project requirements. Ensure that all installations are plumb and level, adhering to safety regulations and quality standards. Perform painting or staining of wooden fences as required. Assist with masonry work related to fence installation, such as setting posts in concrete. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored safely. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Experience

Previous experience in fencing installation or a related field is preferred but not essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools is required. Skills in fabrication, painting, masonry, electrical work, welding, or carpentry will be considered an asset but not neccessary. A strong understanding of safety practices in construction environments is essential. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or plans is advantageous.
