Fencing Labourer/ Site Operative

12.50 - 14.00 per hour

48 hours contracted per week

( 31,200 - 34,944 per annum)

+ Overtime Pay

Job Purpose

To work on a variety of sites delivering and assisting in contracts works, ensuring compliance with Construction Industry Codes of Practice, Company Procedures, Relevant Safety Standards and Client requirements.

Principle Duties & Accountabilities

The specific accountabilities of this flexible role may alter from time to time to meet the needs of the company, but accountabilities will include (or be equivalent in nature to) those listed below:

To carry out a range of tasks on various sites such as:
- Erecting and dismantling timber hoarding,
- Installing and dismantling temporary metal fencing panels,
- Installing plastic barriers and their relative components,
- Assisting the CCTV team,
- Boarding up properties,
- Additional site work as needed

To load and unload equipment and materials to and from vehicles, and as needed for completion of the contracts. To comply with specific Risk Assessments and method statements for construction activities To adhere to Company Policies, Codes of Practice and carry out the work in a safe and effective manner To liaise with customers at site level effectively and promote customer satisfaction Attend weekly/monthly team briefings as required Ensure all work is carried out safely and that actions taken do not endanger yourself or others Co-operate with management and ensure all works are carried out to a high-quality Wear all PPE as required by company procedure Inspect and report daily any defects to tools and equipment directly to the Operations Manager Report any hazards, near misses, accidents, incidents as soon as possible to the Operations Manager Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site organisation. To carry out any other duties appropriate for this post

Role Demands

The role requires the post holder to be physically fit and able to lift and carry equipment following Health & Safety procedure.

The role may require working antisocial hours and on occasions being away from home for a few days.

Level of Knowledge & Experience

Essential

Minimum 5 years driving experience (domestic or commercial) Familiar with working on construction sites CSCS card Reliable
Advantageous

First Aid training Cat scan certification Telehandler certification Growth potential to Team Leader or Supervisor

Practical and Technical skills needed to complete work as required Ability to learn new products, skills and develop in the company.
