As a Fencer, primarily you will be working with another colleague on larger works but maybe asked to work as an individual on smaller projects. You will be responsible for the preparation, installation, maintenance, and management of multiple types of fencing, gates and barriers. These include PCC panel and board, rail, pale, hit and miss, metal etc. You will also be capable of making and installing bespoke timber gates and or fences. There will be an element of groundworks involved to make areas good when completing projects. This may include paving, flagging, some minor brickworks and groundwork alterations. You will visit premises and properties that are both tenanted and empty homes.


You will have shared use of a suitable company vehicle which will be available to you throughout your working day. All relevant PPE is provided. One Manchester offer flexible working when agreed with line managers.

Critical knowledge, skills and experience required:



Previously worked in a similar role involving installation and repairs of different fencing types, with proven experience. Experience of working within a customer facing environment' Self-motivated with the ability to work within a team Skilled in using relevant tools and equipment Strong attention to detail and precision in work Good planning and organisational skills Working knowledge of Health and safety Possess a full UK driving licence Experience of working with mobile devices in a work environment
