Job Description

Fencing Team Leader



Tony Weir Contractor Ltd is an established fencing contracting business based in Elgin working across Scotland. The company provides a variety of fencing solutions for domestic, commercial and agricultural purposes.

Responsibilities:



Lead and supervise a small team of fencing operatives.

Distribute tasks among the team as required.

Guide and support team members and help them to develop their skills.

Ensure projects are delivered according to specification and agreed timescales.

Maintain high standards of work in line with both company and client expectations.

Brief team on site health and safety and ensure necessary PPE is used correctly.

Ensure adherence to all site health and safety regulations.

Document and report any incidents, accidents or near misses.

Installing new fencing and gates according to job specifications

Repairing existing fencing

Measuring and marking fence lines and layout post locations according to job map

Operate Solotrak, tracked post knocker to bore fence posts in mechanically

Attaching gates, hinges, latches and other hardware to fences

Use of other plant machinery where required

Complete job cards, timesheets and other required data via company iPad.

Liaise with management regarding project updates, timescales, issues and team needs.

Skills required:



Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role.

Knowledge and experience on fence installation.

Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

Solid understanding of construction site health and safety

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team

Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with clients, sub-contractors and team members in a professional manner.

Excellent organisation and time management skills.

Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour in all weather throughout the seasons.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision, must be committed to delivering a high standard of work.

Licence & Certification:



Valid CSCS card

Other tickets such a tractor, chainsaw etc would be advantageous.
