Production Operative - Windows & Doors
We are urgently seeking four experienced Production Operatives with proven, hands-on experience in window and door fabrication to join our busy and expanding team.
This is not a general factory role - we are specifically looking for people who already have strong industry experience and can demonstrate the skills required to fabricate windows and doors to a high standard. If you have worked in PVC-U, aluminium, or composite door manufacturing, we want to hear from you.
As a Production Operative, you will play a vital role in the fabrication and assembly process, working with tools, machinery, and technical drawings to produce high-quality products that meet customer and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble PVC-U, aluminium, and composite windows and doors.
Use tools, machinery, saws, and welding equipment confidently and safely.
Read and work from fabrication sheets and technical drawings.
Measure, cut, and assemble profiles accurately to specification.
Fit hardware, reinforcement, beading, gaskets, and glazing.
Carry out quality checks on finished units before dispatch.
Follow Health & Safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area.
Work to production schedules and daily output targets.
Skills Required
We are only considering candidates with genuine hands-on fabrication experience in window and door manufacturing. Essential skills include:
Proven experience in window and door fabrication.
Confident use of handheld tools, saws, welding machines, and cutting equipment.
Strong knowledge of hardware fitting, glazing, gaskets, and reinforcement.
Ability to read fabrication sheets and technical drawings.
Experience in handling sealed units and glass safely.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality.
Reliability, teamwork, and the ability to meet production targets.
Pay & Progression
Starting pay: from 12.21 per hour
Opportunity to progress to higher pay rates depending on skills, motivation, and enthusiasm to learn additional processes
