Role Overview



We are looking for a reliable and proactive

Field Liaison and Compliance Officer

to support our day-to-day operations in the Midlands and North of England. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you will work closely with farmers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure operations are compliant, well-coordinated, and properly reported. This position is initially part-time, with the potential to grow into a full-time role based on performance and business need.

Key Responsibilities



Act as a key point of contact between White Land Solutions, contractors, and landowners/farmers Visit farm and land application sites to carry out checks, audits, and basic environmental observations Ensure compliance with relevant legislation (e.g., NVZ regulations, Farming Rules for Water, EA permits) Collect and record accurate site data, including field maps, soil test results, and compliance forms Take soil and slurry samples where needed and manage logistics for laboratory testing Produce timely, clear reports to management regarding site conditions, contractor performance, and any issues arising Monitor spreading activities and flag any concerns regarding vehicle access, land suitability, or environmental risk Help maintain positive working relationships with farmers, hauliers, and regulatory contacts Work with internal planning and operations teams to feed back field intelligence and support logistical decision-making

Requirements



Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experience in or knowledge of farming, land spreading, or organic recycling Awareness of relevant agricultural and environmental regulations (training can be provided) Excellent time management and ability to work independently across multiple sites IT-literate, comfortable using mobile apps or spreadsheets for record-keeping and reporting Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across regions
