Job Purpose
We are seeking a strong minded candidate with good understanding of electrical engineering world. Using your expert knowledge, you will be the direct manager for a designated team of engineers and will be the first point of contract for field queries, escalations and overall support.
Duties and Responsibilities
The job will entail a range of duties including:
Overseeing day-to-day activities within the engineering field staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Recruiting new talent into the business and ensuring an excellent on-boarding experience
Responsible for the continuous improvement of the engineer's performance, training and development.
Providing coaching & training to all team members to identify areas for progression and training needs.
Completing the On-Call rota for the team to ensure customer needs are met and aligned with company processes, KPI's and SLA's. Providing cover on call outs where necessary.
Managing site investigations and attending sites at customer requests.
Ensuring quality standards for all works carried out across the region and highlighting any concerns to the Service Manager, including technical/job audits.
Be the escalation point for technical queries for the engineering and office teams.
Responsible for RAMS, PPE, Tool box talks, van audits and accident investigations.
To be revenue generating for a small set percentage of time, completing escalation/aged works.
Holding annual team appraisals.
Regular team meetings.
Upskilling engineers.
Qualifications and Experience
Comprehensive industry experience
Technical experience and knowledge of relevant legislation and standards within the disciplines
Experience of working within a continually pressured environment and to tight operational deadlines
Preferred experience of leading, coaching and developing teams
Previous management experience, of 5 yrs. plus, would be beneficial but not essential
5 years plus experience fire & security knowledge
Use of Microsoft Office packages, Word, Excel, essential, CASH for Windows knowledge desirable and a distinct advantage

This is a permanent hybrid role based in Leyton.
The rate of pay we are offering is 40,000.00 - 50,000.00 per annum depending on skills and experience, based on a 40 hour working week.
We will also provide you with a company vehicle, mobile phone and laptop.
