Role Overview
The Field Sales Executive will be responsible for driving growth of Lopay's face-to-face payments solutions across primarily London and the wider southeastern region. This role primarily consists of receiving warm leads from our Facebook ads, which promote our product and ask potential customers to fill in a lead form, asking their details and turnover.
It's your job to ring these leads/sms/whatsapp as quick as possible, set-up a meeting and go in store and close them as a customer.
Our product/solution is available on the App Store. They need to download the app, submit their id and proof of address to verify and then can begin taking payments there and then by using the tap-to-pay function right on their phone. Alternatively, they can order a card-reader through the app.
You will need to be attentive to leads as quickly as they come in, contact and follow-up to set a meeting, go in-store to the address they provide if no response, and fully display what they need to use as a product and close them and manage the relationship to make sure they continue using Lopay.
Because as mentioned, if they don't use us, they are losing money.
Spare time will be spent generating new opportunities through prospecting and local networking. Any business that takes in-person card payments, like all of the stores of a high street could be a potential customer.
Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibility is to convert warm leads which come through our Facebook/Instagram ads asking for a site visit into sales quickly and a high rate of conversion
Generate leads (cold outreach, referrals, local networks) and convert them through to close
Present and demonstrate payment solutions tailored to customer needs.
Maintain strong relationships with customers closed to ensure retention and expansion (many of our customers have 5+ locations, are try it with one location first)
Monitor competitor activity, market trends and feedback from meetings you attend; relay field insights to Product, Marketing, and Strategy teams
Work closely with onboarding, operations, and support teams to ensure smooth customer activation
Achieve agreed sales targets (monthly, quarterly, annual) and manage pipeline using CRM system (e.g. Salesforce)
Report on performance, forecasts, and territory plans to the Head of Sales/Head of Growth
Technical ability to set up and install card payment devices on customer premises
Skills & Experience
Proven B2B field sales experience, ideally in SAAS or fintech
Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Quick thinking, extroverted personality with 'gift of the gab'
Peoples person
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation ability
Ability to engage senior stakeholders (senior management, decision makers)
Good negotiation and closing skills
Self-motivated, resilient, and able to work independently
Extremely comfortable with travel (within territory) and occasional overnight stays (a must in this job)
Proficient in CRM systems, sales forecasting, and pipeline management
Full UK driving licence
Desirable / Plus Points
Experience in payments, POS, acquiring, or related financial services
Knowledge of local market dynamics and business sectors in London and the South East
Existing local business contacts or network
