As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing engineering expertise and product support to customers at their sites. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the installation of John Crane Sense\xe2\x84\xa2 diagnostics and other Digital Products, analyzing field problems, making recommendations to enhance product performance, and offering technical support to customers. This role requires effective communication skills for delivering reports, troubleshooting field issues, and suggesting operational improvements. You will also be responsible for conducting site surveys, collaborating with site and contract services for installations, and supporting operations with inventory and supplier management.

This position requires you to be based in close proximity to one of our UK offices: Slough, Manchester, or Aberdeen.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in John Crane Sense\xe2\x84\xa2 diagnostics installations. Analyze field problems.
• Assist in other Digital Product installations as required.
• Make recommendations to improve product performance.
• Provide technical support to customers including delivering John Crane Sense\xe2\x84\xa2 reports, troubleshooting field problems, and advising customers on potential improvements to their operations
• Write and issue installation reports to customers, including providing presentations to support
• Complete site surveys at customer sites
• Work with site and contract services to complete installations
• Support operations with inventory management, supplier management, and planning

The Individual

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or experience in lieu of degree.
• 1+ years of experience in a technical or engineering capacity.
• Mechanical Field Service experience highly preferred.
• Experience with electrical or instrumentation systems preferred
• Experience with rotating machinery (pumps and/or compressors) preferred.
• Must be able to travel 75%, including internationally.
