The Field Service Engineer is an important multi-faceted customer-facing role demanding a thorough understanding of water treatment and a high level of professionalism. This opportunity comes at a pivotal time and offers a great opportunity for personal and professional career progression.
The ideal candidate will certainly have a technical water treatment/filtration background and probably be multiskilled - ideally including electro-mechanical fields combined with an understanding of basic PLC/HMI function.
If you have a Royal Engineers or REME pedigree, we'd particularly like to talk. Full training will be given to develop the additional skills required to fully succeed.

General tasks:
Site-based servicing and maintenance of water treatment systems
Membrane exchanges and replacement parts installation
Clean In Place (CIP) and chemical management
Fault finding and problem solving
Risk Assessments and Method Statements
In-person communication with operational customer personnel
Daily submission of comprehensive site visit reports
Monitoring and handling internal and external communication in a polite and professional manner
Adding value and seeking opportunities for additional customer projects
Ensuring pilot systems and rental assets are performing well and properly maintained
Customer communication for visit planning and reporting
Additional tasks:
Assisting with system builds and commissioning of new equipment
Providing engineering support during project/system installations
Customer visits and presentations to build service and maintenance contract network
Assisting with capturing data from operational pilot systems

Working Location:
This is a site focused role requiring frequent travel, mostly across the south and south west.

Qualifications and experience
Time served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering, or/and
Degree qualified in process, chemical, electrical or mechanical engineering
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar hands-on practical role
Pay rate:
Competitive commensurate with experience
