Job Description

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team based around the North of England and surrounding areas. You will have some technical skills in electrical, electronics, mechatronics or comparable experience.


Join our Liquid Handling department as a Field Service Technician, where you'll play a crucial role in servicing, repairing and calibrating single and multichannel pipettes at customer sites. Your commitment to delivering exceptional customer service will be key as you cover North of England and into Scotland.


We actively consider applicants from different disciplines who bring transferable skills in diagnostics, servicing electromechanical equipment, and customer support. Full training on laboratory standards, pipettes and our processes will be provided.


The team consists of 2 Engineers and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.


This position is available full time. You will be working in the field and ideally living near Leeds or the surrounding counties.


Grow with us - Your Responsibilities



Perform on-site maintenance, calibration, repair, and functional testing of pipettes Manage on-site maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of pipettes, diagnosing errors and determining effective solutions Produce detailed service reports and issue certificates of analysis promptly Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and UKAS requirements and internal SOPs Collaborate closely with the technical team, sharing insights across the organisation Act as a trusted partner to customers, building strong relationships and driving satisfaction and customer retention

What will convince us



Experience with laboratory equipment or other technical equipment is beneficial but training will be provided Field service experience in pharmaceutical, biological or chemical industries is desirable, though candidates from manufacturing, electronics and other sectors are welcome to apply Experience working with industry standards such as UKAS, ISO or equivalent would be preferable Strong troubleshooting, testing and servicing skills Ability to work autonomously, adapt to changing schedules and travel as needed Customer focused communicator who can explain technical issues clearly and professionally Hold a valid UK driving licence
