We are looking for a highly driven and customer-oriented Field Service Technician who is enthusiastic, hands-on, and eager to develop within the role. This person should be comfortable working with computer hardware and general technology, and able to apply basic mechanical skills when needed. Strong troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential. The position involves frequent travel across the UK and Northern Ireland.
Responsibilities
Install computer and electronic hardware components on large commercial vehicles.
Diagnose and resolve installation or technical issues efficiently and professionally.
Support the Technical Support Team with hardware/software inquiries.
Assist with preparing customer shipments, including light assembly, configuration, burn-in testing, data logging, and packing.
Process RMAs and keep accurate records and documentation.
Perform hardware and software repairs and report issues clearly to engineering teams.
Qualifications
Experience installing or working with computer systems, preferably in vehicles or similar contexts.
Proven track record in electronics or hardware installations.
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software.
Self-motivated, flexible, and able to take initiative.
Effective team player with strong communication abilities.
Comfortable interacting with internal teams and external customers.
Nice to Haves
Experience with CRM tools (ideally Salesforce).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
