Field Services Manager
to lead operations in
Central London
, with the opportunity to oversee new service fields across
East and Central London
as our network expands. This role is vital to ensuring our infrastructure operates at the highest standard of safety, performance, and customer experience.
Role Overview
This role is ideal for a strong leader with proven electrical expertise and the ability to manage a fast-paced, growing team. You will be responsible for overseeing WhiZap's field engineers across London, supporting installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-power charging and energy storage systems.
The role is mainly
field-based in Central London
, with occasional wider travel and weekly engagement with our head office team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage WhiZap's team of field engineers in Central London and expanding service areas.
Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of EV chargers and mobile energy storage systems.
Ensure compliance with BS7671, NICEIC certification, and safety regulations.
Review and support design of EV charging infrastructure and distribution circuits.
Provide remote and on-site technical support for fault finding and testing.
Conduct site audits, Toolbox talks, and safety checks to maintain standards.
Collaborate closely with Network Performance, Projects, and Operations teams.
Recruit, train, and develop new engineers as WhiZap grows across London.
Candidate Profile
C&G 2391 (or equivalent) and 18th Edition qualified, with strong knowledge of BS7671.
Experience as a Qualifying Supervisor, Principal Duty Holder, or equivalent role.
Solid background in electrical installation, testing, and maintenance.
Leadership and team management skills, ideally with field-based staff.
Ability to review designs and liaise with manufacturers to ensure compliance.
Flexible and proactive, able to adapt to new projects and locations as the business grows.
Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external partners.
Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
(EV charging industry experience is an advantage but not essential.)
