Job Summary



We are seeking a

Field Support Engineer

to join our dynamic and innovative team. For over 40 years, our software teams have been dedicated to delivering client-driven solutions and advancing technology in navigation, surveying, data processing, and simultaneous operations.


In this role, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and supporting our suite of software systems in offshore survey environments. The position offers significant opportunities for worldwide travel, primarily to vessels conducting seismic surveys. When not deployed in the field, you will provide office-based client support, assist with system commissioning and testing, and contribute to client training and documentation.



Key Responsibilities



Install, commission, and support navigation, surveying, and data processing software systems in offshore environments. Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients during seismic and related survey operations. Diagnose and resolve system and operational issues efficiently under demanding conditions. Conduct system testing, configuration, and troubleshooting both in the field and office settings. Assist in client training sessions, ensuring users are proficient with system functionality and operation. Contribute to the development and maintenance of user documentation and support materials. Collaborate with engineering and software development teams to improve system performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications



Required

Proven

engineering experience

, ideally within a technical support or field engineering role. Practical experience with

Linux (including command line)

and

networking

. Strong

problem-solving

and

analytical skills

, with the ability to apply them to complex systems and processes. Excellent

communication

and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels. Ability to

work under pressure

and in demanding offshore operational environments. Flexibility and adaptability to cope with

variable travel schedules

and extended periods away from home. Preferred

Knowledge of

data communications

,

basic electrical/electronic engineering

, or related disciplines. Experience with

GPS

data radio systems

surveying

, and/or

navigation

systems.
