Field Technician
and work across the South and South West
.
You will be trained, coached and mentored by our team of friendly, experienced and incredibly knowledgeable engineers along a training path that will enable you to become the very best that you can be.
This is a varied role and not one day will be the same......variety is definitely the name of the game here!
Field Technician role
:
We are currently looking to recruit a Field Technician to aid our existing site supervisors and personnel with different site activities such as delivering site consumables, undertaking in situ testing, monitoring and labouring and to join our friendly team of site investigation specialists across the country working out of our Exeter office. There will also be time spent within our stores at the office location, managing samples and equipment, helping the engineers prepare kit for upcoming jobs and holding an inventory of consumable stock.
We work in a wide variety of sectors including utilities, industrial and commercial, highways , contaminated land redevelopment, onshore energy transmission and environmental. You will undertake a wide range of tasks including a broad spectrum of monitoring including gas, groundwater and ground movement, setting out and surveying, and will have responsibility for sampling chain of custody through our office stores and to our laboratory.
Our team members:
Are knowledgeable about a wide range of the latest site investigation techniques, surveying and monitoring procedures, techniques and Standards.
Are able to work with company documents for effective reporting, communication and record-keeping
Are trained in health and safety schemes such as CSCS, SMSTS, and CDM 2015 Regulations.
We are looking for people who:
Are enthusiastic and keen to learn
Are looking for site based work, with periods spent within the stores
Will be based out of our Exeter office, predominantly operating in the South West and along the South coast, but with a need from time to time to assist other regional offices
Can work autonomously or as part of a team and take responsibility projects and equipment
Hold a full UK driving license
Towing and/ or forklift licenses would be a plus
Your first few days and weeks will see you introduced to the Company and the team. Early qualifications you will acquire include Health & Safety CSCS certification, this is essentially a safety passport to visit and work on all our sites.
Other early training include First Aid at Work, Defensive Driving and also how to safely operate a Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and Genny to avoid underground services. Additionally you will receive training in Administration, Commercial, Technical and Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality.
